Five For Friday – Books I’m Taking On Holiday

Hello everyone! Welcome to Five For Friday this week I have been packing up my suitcase ready to go on holiday to Lanzarote with my mum. Packing the clothes and cosmetics have been easy…choosing what books to bring has been hard!! I have picked 5 books that are currently on my TBR pile in my bedroom, so have probably mentioned them all quite recently.

1. Whistle In The Dark by Emma Healey
This book will be popped into my hand luggage to read on the plane on the way to Lanzarote. Emma Healey also wrote Elizabeth Is Missing which I adored! So can’t wait to start this.Β

2. The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock by Imogen Gowar
I have picked this to go into my holiday pile because of the mermaid aspect. I have wanted to read this for ages, hope it lives up to the hype.

3. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
A light-hearted romance with an edge, just my kind of pool side read.

4. The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald
This has been on my TBR for at least 6 months so thought it would be the perfect time to pick up and read. So many people have told me great things about this book.

5. The Reader on the 6.27 by Jean-Paul Didierlaurent
I don’t know too much about this book but I thought my mum would also like to read it so thought if she runs out of books we could share this one.

I hope I can get through all 5x of these books, but I am only going away for a week. What kind of books do you like to bring on holiday? Romance? Crime? Or just books you haven’t read yet that have been sat on your shelf? Lets chat I would love to know.Β Katie x
