Monthly Wrap Up – February 2019

Hello all! I can’t believe it is almost the end of February already!! Time is flying by, we have had some strange weather this month but perfect for staying inside and curling up with a good book or film. My mac book died this month, after 8 years of service, really sad. So I haven’t been ablt to blog as much as I would of wanted. But I have a new laptop now so will hopefully be back on track in March. Anyway here’s what I’ve been up to…

Another great month for reading, 10x books again! I haven’t reviewed every books as a few are self help and I have been away a few times this month so busy busy. If you would like to read any reviews on the books I have read this month just click the links. My favourite read of February had to be The Outrun by Amy Liptrot, such a beautiful memoir.

– You by Caroline Kepnes
– Spark Joy by Marie Kondo
– Circe by Madeline Miller
– The Outrun by Amy Liptrot
– The Piano Tuner by Daniel Mason
– Calm by Fearne Cotton
– Positive Thinking by Gill Hassan
– Dealing With Difficult People by Gill Hasson
– Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur
– Walking The Nile by Levison Wood

This month I have been out for food so many times! I went to London to see some university friends and had such a good brunch, which I will be reviewing soo, I also had a big dish of mussles and the most delicious bao buns in Mr Bao, Peckham. I took my mum out for lunch as well and had a delicious salmon noodle dish. Myself and Dee went to Miller & Carter and had a shared birthday lunch.

SAS Who Dares Wins
I have been watching this for a few weeks now. It reminded me of a hard core version of a course I went on last summer to improve leadership skills, being pushed to your limit and logical thinking, lots of team work and physical activity obviously this is way more intense! I have really enjoyed watching this and watching who stays and improves. I was really touched when Mark shared his past about his wife it made me cry, each recruit seems to have had a sad story from their life but this one got to me.

Mary Queen of Scots
I went to the cinema to see this and I found it so dull! The entire film was very flat and I almost nodded off around 10x. It’s a shame because I love history and about the Royal Family so I wanted to love this but I really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The Vaccines
The first weekend of February I went to see The Vaccines, one of my favourite bands. I have seen them before at a festival but this was different and I loved every second of it!

Harry Potter Studios
I have finally finally booked to go to the Harry Potter Studios in London! It isn’t until June but I am sooooo excited!!!! I am going up there with my sister who is also a huge fan of Harry Potter! I plan to hopefully read some of the books beforehand and re watch all the movies eeeeeee

I went to London to catch up with some University friends. Even though it takes me 6 hours on a coach to get there and 6 hours home, it’s always worth seeing my lovely friends as we don’t get to meet up as often as we would like. I enjoy walking around London and seeing where my friends live.

February is the month of love what with Valentine’s but for me it was extra special because it was mine and my boyfriend’s third year anniversary. He even bought me a book as a present which was so sweet of him!

February might be a short month but it’s been a busy one! What have you got up to this month? Read lots of books? Have you been to the Harry Potter Studios before?! Let me know, would love to chat! Katie x
