Five For Friday – Positive Thinking Books

This year I have decided to do a lot of self-care and try to de-stress and keep a positive mind. The best way for me to learn and improve myself is by reading, so this is 5x books that I highly recommend if you want to do a bit of self-care yourself.

1. The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

This book does what it says on the tin it is a miracle. Hal Elrod went through a bad period in his life and he begun the Morning Miracle which he created and his life got drastically better quickly. I have been using his method for 10 days now and have found it to be really useful and felt myself being more productive and positive. Each morning you wake up an hour earlier maybe more if you wish and perform his LIFE SAVERS. Silence, Affirmations, Visualisation, Exercise, Read and Scribe. I won’t go into more detail but it is a fantastic method and you can see it makes results just by looking up the Amazon Reviews.

2. The Anxiety Solution by Chloe Brotheridge

This book is amazing it helps with anxiety, self confidence and stress. At the back of the book is a solution tool kid where there are activities and meditations to do to help you have a quieter and calmer mind. I really loved how this book flowed and how Chloe explained things.


3. Hardwiring Happiness by Rich Hanson

Hardwiring Happiness is exactly that, Ruch Hanson believes that you can re-hardwire your brain to think positively. Yes negative thoughts will always arise but it is how you deal with them how to push positive thoughts to the front of your mind. There is also activities in this book to try out which I found helpful. I made lots of notes reading this one as it was a lot more scientific based and a lot about how the brain actually works which I found helpful.

4. Positive Thinking by Gill Hasson

This book is all about training your brain to see the positives not the negatives. Gill gives really useful hints, tips and advice throughout the book and also lots of activities for you to try out. I have read this book twice now and still find it very helpful and the activities she advises you to do are really great.

5. Happy & Calm by Fearne Cotton

I have only read Happy so far, I got Calm for my birthday but I’ve not started it yet. Happy is brilliant! I enjoyed reading this because it is in the perspective of yes, a celebrity but someone who you can relate to and almost feel like you “know” whereas the other books mentioned are faceless people. I loved Fearn’s little doodles throughout, she even has healthy recipes. This book helps but is also I guess more fun and relaxed than the others. I can’t wait to read Calm.
