Five For Friday – A January Book Haul Part 2 Paperback

Last week I shared my digital books haul, and this week I am sharing the paper back haul. I don’t think I need to haul anymore books for quite a while now. (who am I kidding there are always more books to buy)

These are 5 paperback books I have purchased since the start of 2019.

1. Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
This book has been mentioned by a friend a lot so when I saw it in a charity shop for 50p in great condition of course I picked it up. Who doesn’t love a big of teenage romance and drama?!

2. The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold
Alice Sebold’s most famous book is probably The Lovely Bones, I have also read her memoir Lucky and I really like her haunting yet beautiful writing style. So when I saw this in a charity shop for a £1 I picked it up immediately.

3. The Reader on the 6.27
I judge books by their covers all the time and this cover stood out to me and so did the synopsis. On the back of the book one quote days “Similar look and feel to Amelie” which is one of my all time favourite films so I think I will love this book.

4. A Man Called Ove
I have read this before and I LOVED it but I only have a copy of it on my phone. I like to have paperback copies of books that I adore so picked this up also in a charity shop for 50p.

5. The Rumour by Lesley Kara
I am part of Penguin Books community, Bookmarks. I recently reached gold badge level and when you do that they send you some free books. This was one of the books that got sent to me and it sounds like a really juicy thriller.

How many books have you purchased so far in 2019? Were they digital or paperbacks? Are you addicted to buying books? Katie x

    Great post!

I have heard about The Rumour. I hear it’s good.

Since the New Year started I have gotten Truly Devious in paperback, Dark Matter, and The Wife Between Us. The last two books I mentioned I got on sale 2 for $10. Always love a sale, LoL.

Just finished reading To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han. Just started reading Love, Simon. So far it’s really good.
