This fun tag created by Bionic Bookworm’s Blog seemed like the perfect tag to do mid November. The trees are going a wonderful golden yellow colour, I am always snugged in bed reading and drinking tea. Autumn is here YAY! So here goes with the book tag…
CRISP FALL AIR – A BOOK THAT FELT FRESH AND NEW
Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. I only just finished this today, but I felt like it was a very modern and fresh take on a family drama. I was really engrossed with the story and characters and I don’t think I have read anything similar before.
HOWLING WINDS – AN ENDING THAT BLEW YOU AWAY
Together by Julie Cohen. The ending was just something I wasn’t expecting AT ALL! The book is a love story told backwards. Starting with the husband who has alzheimer’s committing suicide with each chapter going back further in time until the day they met. The story is heartwarming, full of passion and family problems which are sad, frustrating and melancholy. The novel is beautifully written and the ending really surprised me and blew me away.
COMFY SWEATERS – A BOOK THAT GAVE YOU THE WARM FUZZY’S
The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo, another love story that really got to me. I never cry at books and this really got to me. A beautiful passionate story about a love that just didn’t seem to work out and they might be continents apart but that stop Lucy and Gabe being in each others hearts. A story of dreams, desires, jealousy, choices and betrayals this story gave me warm fuzzy’s, made me cry, made me happy. Beautiful!
BRIGHT COLOURS – A BOOK WITH RED, ORANGE OR YELLOW
Home Fire by Kamila Shamsie is a beautiful cover and a very modern story about a family and how an innocent young man can suddenly become part of ISIS and the Jihadi movement. A very thought provoking.
LEAF FIGHT – A BOOK WITH NON STOP ACTION
I’m not really an action book reader. I would have to say The Hunger Games Trilogy as that is non-stop action from first to last book.
PUMPKIN SPICE – YOUR MOST ANTICIPATED READ
The Winter of the Witch by Kathryn Arden. I tried to get an advanced copy via Netgalley but too many people had already requested it. Boo Hoo!!! I can’t wait to get my hands on this book and finish this amazing trilogy! Though I will also be deeply saddened that it’s over.

No problem ☺️ Everything I Never Told You was very good. I have Little Fires on my list to read now as well, but apparently it isn’t as good.

“Together” sounds so unique! I’ll have to add that one to the list… It sounds sad… But, hopefully sadness in reverse? 🤔

It is an odd one and not something you expect there is a twist at the end that really shocked me! I think it’s a marmite book you will either love or hate it 😂 but I really liked it and it’s not my usual type of thing to read

It definitely doesn’t sound like my typical read, so maybe we’ll have the same opinion! 😉
