SUNDAY SIZZLER – SEAFOOD STIR FRY

Hello all, this week for Sunday Sizzler we have something very fishy for you. Dee has cooked up a storm with her seafood stir fry and I am recommending a beautiful ocean adventure novel for you to get stuck into. We hope you enjoy!

RECIPE FOR SEAFOOD STIR FRY

Seafood stir fry

Serves 2

Ingredients:

– Pre-cooked Seafood (whatever you like, I use prawns, mussels and crab sticks)
– Stir fry veg (you can cheat and get a pre-made pack)
– Soy sauce (3 tbsp)
– Honey (2 tbsp)
– Ginger (as much as you like to taste)
– Chilli (half)
– Garlic clove
– Rice (any you like)

Method:

Put the rice on to cook / boil
Chop up all your veg, and chop the ginger, garlic and chilli very finely
Heat the pan with a little oil, add in the ginger, garlic and chilli and fry for a couple of minutes and add in the veg.
Keep stirring through until cooked
Add your seafood and the soy sauce and honey and stir.
Add in the rice and mix well together
Plate up and enjoy! It’s as simple as that!

This week I have chosen The Life of Pi by Yann Martel, this book is a beautiful fantasy adventure. Piscine Molitor “Pi” Patel, a Tamil boy from Pondicherry, explores issues of spirituality and practicality from an early age. He survives 227 days after a shipwreck while stranded on a boat in the Pacific Ocean with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker, a zebra and an orangutan. I read this book quite a few years ago now, I enjoyed the vivid description and the ideas and thoughts on religion and spirituality.

We hope you enjoyed this weeks recipe and recommended read. Please show us any photos of any Sunday Sizzlers you choose to cook up, we would love to see your results! As always thanks for reading. Katie & Dee x
