Summer Book Tag

I haven’t actually been tagged in this but thought it would be fun to do seeing as its nearing the end of summer. I got this tag from the Boston Book Readers blog.

What book cover makes you think of Summer?
Happy by Fearne Cotton, it is lovely and colourful

What book has brightened your day?
Love, Simon by Becky Albertalli, such a nice read!

Find a book cover with Yellow on it.
Moonrise by Sarah Crossman – this is currently in my TBR pile, I can’t wait to start it!

What is your favourite summer beach read?
Shopaholic Abroad (part of the Shopaholic series) I love Becky Bloomwood and her adventures, and it is a great easy read.

What action book has you running for the ice cream man?
The One by John Marrs, this book is FULL of twists, turns and murders.

(Sunburn) what book has left you with a bad and or painful ending?
Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough, I don’t slate books very often as I know how much hard work goes into writing one as my mother is an author, but my goodness what a spectacularly awful ending to what could have been a brilliant book.

(Sunset) what book gave you the happiest feelings when it ended?
Strangely The Lovely Bones by Alice Seabold, although it is ultimately a sad story, the ending made me smile, and the idea of heaven through Susie Salmon’s eyes makes me happy.

What book cover reminds you of a sunset?
A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, one of my favourite ever books.

What is one book or series you hope to read this summer?
I really want to start the Harry Potter series again (for the millionth time) but when I will actually get round to that I don’t know!

If anyone wants to take part in this then do. I’m not going to tag anyone as it is the end of summer now. Hope you enjoyed my choices and maybe gave you some book inspiration. Thanks for reading 🙂 Dee

Oh amazing! Jealous of your Harry Potter reading skills haha! I think it will be a challenge for the new year. I haven’t read any of them since they came out so it will be like reading a new book 🤗🤗
