Five for Friday the 13th – Hello Horror

Happy Friday 13th my lovely followers! Hope it is a lucky one for you.

As it is Friday the 13th today I thought what better time to pick some books from the Horror genre. I was going to give you 5x of my favourites, but not being a massive Horror fan I felt I would pick some obvious choices so instead I am choosing 5x horror books that I would like to read.

1. Coraline by Neil Gaiman
I absolutely love the Tim Burton version of this film, I had no idea it was a novel so really excited to read this. I know it is for children really but I still think the story is pretty creepy, even the film was a bit odd!

2. Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice
This has been on my TBR for about 2x years now. I have never read an Anne Rice novel before and I do like the story of Interview with the Vampire. Think this is more of a dark winter night read though.

3. The Strain by Guillermo del Toro, Chuck Hogan
I have recently just finished watching the series of The Strain then found out it’s a book series. I would love to read them to compare with the TV show, zombie, vampire monsters and a gang of awesome people killing them. Sounds good to me! Plus Guillermo del Toro is a legend!

4. World War Z by Max Brooks
As zombie films go this isn’t my favourite so I am hoping the novel has more to offer for me. I do love the zombie genre so hoping this is a good story.

5. The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde
Arkham cover D final
I don’t know much about this novel and have never read anything by Oscar Wilde so willing to give it a go. I do enjoy a classic novel.

So these are my five Friday the 13th Horrors I would like to read in the future. Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts? Or can you suggest any other novels from the horror genre that I may like? I would love to hear your thoughts.
As always thanks for reading. Katie x
