Three Things was created by Paula’s at The Book Jotter. Her new idea is to regularly write three things she observes in the world around her which include:
It’s just a great way for your followers to see what you have been up to in the week and mixes up what your normally post about. If you want to also take part or find out more about Paula’s idea please go to her blog
Here’s my Three Things for this week…
A simple quote on a bookmark caught my eye this week.
“She reads books as one would breathe air – to fill up and live”
I think this is a beautiful quote and I relate so much to it. Imagine a world without books and reading how boring my life would be without the creative magical world that amazing talented authors give us! I live and breathe books, I always have at least 2-3 books on the go, I love writing reviews, I love book cover designs, I love buying books it gives me such a rush, I love characters and worlds, everything about books! I live it and breathe it!
Along with reading lots of books I also enjoy binge watching certain TV shows. This week I have been catching up with HBO’s Westworld Season 2. A quote from one of the AI robots really stood out to me “We are a kind that will never die but we are fighting to live”
I have always loved the concept of AI and robots it really fascinates and also scares me. This programme has captured me and taken me in, I love the characters, visual effects, story lines, twists, turns action. Another part of Westworld that I love is the title sequence for both seasons, I never skip it, it’s just so perfect the music, movement and visual effects are amazing. If you don’t watch Westworld then at least watch the title sequence. Watch it here
Following on from last week I can now say that I completed the 5k race for life with my friend in 40minutes.
We only practised once and on the day we slowed down to a walk a couple of times to catch our breath, so really proud of our effort! Was really great to see so many women in their pink t-shirts, running and raising money for a good cause. This charity run has inspired myself and my friend to go out running more often and even join a running club. We aim to do Race for Life again next year but for now I am still collecting sponsors so if you would like to sponsor us click here. Thank you.
Hope you have enjoyed this weeks Three Things post, please join in as well its a very fun thing to do and a nice way to reflect on your week positively. Thanks for reading Katie x
