Top Ten Tuesdays – Books on my Spring TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a new topic for bloggers to choose and list their top ten. This week’s theme is Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR pile.

This is actually the perfect top ten for me this week. I have already figured out quite a few of my Spring TBR because I am setting myself a challenge. The British Book Awards announced the shortlist of nominees for the 2018 awards at the beginning of the month, so I have decided to read 1x book from each category. Then obviously write a blog post about these books (Keep an eye out in May for that) The rest of the books in my top ten are books that have been on the shelf for far too long and I just need to man up and read them!

1. Happy by Fearne Cotton
British Book Award Nominee
Something I have had on my pile for a while and I have read a lot of Happiness and Anxiety books, so hoping this one is good even though I’m not a huge fan of Fearne Cotton.

2. Reservoir 13 by Jon McGregor
British Book Award Nominee
I’ve seen this book in shops quite a few times and it sounds really intriguing, mixed reviews but I want to make my own opinion.

3. Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman
British Book Award Nominee
I have only heard amazing things about this book, I’m hoping its not been over hyped but I am excited to read this one!

4. The Book of Dust by Phillip Pullman
British Book Award Nominee
I have had a beautiful hardback copy of this book since it was released and STILL haven’t managed to pick it up and read. Who am I? What am I thinking? I MUST read this asap!

5. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris
I have actually started this one today, loving it so far I shall write a review in the next few days!

6. The Boy in Her Dreams by Laekan Zea Kemp
I have read the first part of this series, The Girl In Between (Review Here) I loved it so really want to crack on with book two.

7. Umami by Laia Jufresa
I got this in my most recent Reading in Heels Box so super excited to read this novel about Ana and the mysterious death of her little sister.

8. The Power by Naomi Alderman
This was given to me as a present by a good friend for my birthday back in January. I am so excited to read it especially after just finishing Red Clocks, I think it will be a great comparison book.

9. Luckiest Girl Alive by Jessica Knoll
I found this on a list ages ago online and I think it was in my previous post about my TBR pile, so I need to crack on and read this.

10. Marley & Me by John Grogan
I got this in a charity shop last year and I haven’t got round to reading it yet. I think I keep putting it off as I know it will make me cry!

I am so excited to read all of these books I wish I could take some time off work to read them all, but hopefully I can get through most of them in the upcoming months.

Have you read any on my list? What were your thoughts? As a side not I am also very excited that Spring has finally arrived and hopefully there will be no more snow! As always thanks for reading. Katie x
